My name is Lisa Brookes and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist (Dip Hyp) based in Nottingham and registered with the GHR. I offer a range of hypnotherapy and coaching services tailored to meet your individual needs and a free initial consultation so that we can talk through what you would like support with and how I may be able to help you. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, low confidence or have an unhelpful habit or phobia, I provide a calm and compassionate space where you can explore what’s holding you back and begin to create meaningful change in your life.
Hypnotherapy, is a safe, natural, and effective therapeutic approach which enables you to access your subconscious mind and can help you to regulate your nervous system. Often, when the nervous system is overwhelmed or stuck in survival mode, anxiety rises, confidence can be lost, and unhelpful habits or negative thought patters can arise. Through breathwork, relaxation therapy and focused hypnosis, you can learn to regulate your nervous system, settle the mind, and reconnect with a sense of inner safety. Helping you to overcome limiting beliefs, release emotional blocks, and to create meaningful change from within.
Everyone has the capacity to change, heal and grow. Sometimes what is needed is the right support, the right tools, and a safe space to explore ourselves and reconnect with our own inner resources.

Free initial consultation 30 minutes (by phone)
Sessions last for 1 hour and cost £65 per session.
3 sessions can be booked for £180
Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural practice, whereby a deep relaxed state is accessed during the process of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state, a little like daydreaming, where you are always aware and in control over what is happening. In this calm and relaxed state, the mind can work in a powerful way and positive suggestions can be given to the client to help them with their own identified individual needs.
Hypnotherapy is an effective therapeutic tool for dealing with the many issues which arise from our subconscious. This enables hypnotherapy to work at the root of a problem, helping you to create real changes in your life. From my own personal experience, hypnotherapy is about accessing our own inner resources, helping us to become more self-sufficient, to feel a greater sense of personal freedom, and to help us to make positive choices aligned to who we really are.
I will ask what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to see or feel at the end of your sessions. I will explain what hypnotherapy is, and what you can expect from the sessions. After an initial consultation, I will guide you into hypnosis and offer suggestions which are most appropriate for you. After a session you may feel uplifted, lighter and most likely, very relaxed. As your hypnotherapist I will be working with your subconscious mind, change is often very subtle, so you may just notice a very positive shift in how you are feeling.
No. Hypnosis is a streamlined state of focused attention, similar to when you are absorbed in a book, a film a sport or a craft. You have the ability to emerge from hypnosis at any time if you wish. Your hypnotherapist could be described as a guide taking you on a journey; they are the facilitator but any change can only be made by you. Realising that you are in control and can make changes yourself can be very empowering.
The more often you choose to go into hypnosis the easier it is to relax into the process, secure in the knowledge that you remain in control and can end a session of hypnosis at any point should you wish to. As most people find hypnosis deeply relaxing and a very pleasant experience they rarely choose to do this, but they are aware that they could if they so chose.
